Couple of questions:

Whats the best way to get a round loop as apposed to a kind of ' run out of steam at the top and flop' type?

Also - i have a basic carb set up with no inverted fuel. Does anybody know if the engine stops round an aileron roll? It starts winding down when i barrel roll if i need to ease forward slightly. Obviously i dont want it to stop as i cant get it going again!

Great to hear you are having fun with your Nipper! A Q'.....what engine do you have, and what is the AUW of the a/c when you are doing aero's?

The minimum fuel quantity for aero's if you don't have a flop tube setup is 3 gal's.

I can normally loop from straight and level from about 80kts, 90 is better. If you have a g' meter, pull to about 3g initially, and as you go over the top release the back pressure slightly. The best entry speed is about 90kts, or if you fancy an avalanche you need to enter somewhat faster at about 115kts.

Alan Cassidy's book "Better Aerobatics" is the best I have read, it is well worth getting to bone up on aero's in the comfort of your armchair.

Good luck, and do the aero's over somewhere you can land out! Without an inverted fuel system you are bound to get an engine stoppage sooner or later!

I have a nipper with Jab 2.2

For barrel rolls I push to 95 Knots pull up and over more or less centralized.. It goes much better left than right.. for aeleron rolls i just about always screw them up so i wont give any advise.. For loops I go a bit faster than before up to 100 Knots. pull her over again about 3 G/s.. I tryed it slower and slower and find that if i am below 90 knots for a loop I risk an inverted stall which has happened a couple of times..

I know a jab will only fly inverted for about 5 seconds before the motor stops.. cause I tried it ,,, Good advice from our other friend to be near an airport.. With the Jab I pushed the button and was away again..

i do spins but always wind up sick.. so I do them less and less..

Thx - getting better, just hasnt got as musch smash as i have been used to..I have been finding it tricky doing elegant aeros while keeping the donkey going.
