VW engine mounts

Hi All,

It is clear that the engine mounts on my aircraft aren't original Slingsby manufacture, they look as if they came with the Rollason Ardem which was originally flown on a Taylor Monoplane. Can anybody tell me the measurement from the engine mounting flange (not the gearbox locating ring) to the firewall of their aircraft. If the mounts are loose then the mount length will do nicely, the lower being shorter by the thickness of the magneto mounting plate. I need the measurement to be within 1mm.
I believe my engine mounts to be short by a couple of mm as the prop/cowling clearance is very small.
