Sauer Engine Bendix 3000 Dual Mag

Having problem with a small boat anchor of a dual mag.

The points and condenser need replacing - not a problem but we have this drive at the front with obvious damage.

Does anyone recognise it as a specific part or is it a home made drive adapter for the Sauer VW engine ?

From the detailed parts drawing I have in front of me the cracked drive dog appears to be original. (Can scan bendix parts drawing for you if it helps)
Incidentally I used a very similar magneto drive system on G-ASXI many years ago and still have the manufacturing drawings for replacing the Ducellier mag on the Stamo with a Bendix D-2000. In fact I believe Barry Smith uses a similar system on his Acro engine?

I think we got a part from Dave Almey and some gadge down in Essex is going to fit the points/condenser and drive.

Mag fixed and fitted - test flight imminent - another Nipper returns to the skies
