Chris Lodge Props - Still going?

Does anyone know if Chris Lodge is still making props?
I was asked by one of our members about my engine/prop combo and he would like to try a CJL prop.
My prop is a CJL125 56 x 35 coupled with an 1834 VW slightly tuned.
I would be keen to get a spare prop as well for those unforseen dramas but can't find any contact details for him on Google.
Thanks in advance.

Paul.

Hi,

I believe he's retired and he is no longer listed on the PFA suppliers index. His telephone number is on the sticker on his props though.

Happy Christmas,

Darren.

Chris overhauled my prop' and has repaired another prop' (from an Aeronca Chief) for me, but is unable to get the type of wood he likes due to the red wood embargo, so has "hung up his spokeshave", he will service his old prop's though.

Other suppliers I have found are:

Hi all,
We have a great wood prop maker her in SA. His name is Pieter De Necker, he is a math's teacher by trade but due to huge demand, has been making props since mid 80's. He uses a wood we call Blue Gum or Saliga, will find to correct name if any one is interested.
This wood is very stong and very water resistant. IIRC, he fits various types of leading edge protection. My prop has a type of polyuthane/rubber edge which resists wear very well.
Here is his email: propeler@icon.co.za
Remember the Pound to Rand conversion (1-10) might make it worth while for you guys to import. I have no commercial interest in this, hope to help you guys if i can Very Happy

I have a spare Chris Lodge prop 56 x 34 if anyone is interested. Chris had been keeping it for himself but kindly let me have it shortly after he ceased production. Has done a couple of hours on my 1834 VW engine. Anyone interested please give me a ring - 07745123312. Bob Chatterton
