Hi Niel, What is the PCD of the attachment holes, internal/external diameters of the discs and the gauge of material?

Hi Niel,

My wheels differ slightly from yours being original Slingsby type so the blanks would be OK but I would have to drill the 6 off holes to suit my wheels (see attached). I await for confirmation on price.

Hi Niel

Happy new year,
Sorry to be picky but I think you got the PCD mixed up with PCR Shocked My discs which are marked with drawing No DT66 A3013 Iss2 are 156mm OD with 50mm hole and a 3x6mm dia hole fixing on an 85PCD. (The holes are actually clearance for 1/4"BSF).
I'm in the process of having a pair laser cut at a local engineering firm I deal with (ie free Very Happy ) as mine have gone a funny dish shape Sad . Anyone else suffer this problem? I'm going to try with an increased centre hole size and a tad thicker to overcome this. Will keep you posted (pun intended Laughing ).

Regards
Stuart

Embarassed
Thanks Stuart, yes I did get my PCD and PCR mixed up.........

One of my discs was damaged by the barbed wire that got mixed up in the u\c, the other was slightly distorted. I tried heating the bent one but it ended up as a dish as you describe, so I can only imagine you have been working your brakes a bit hard!!

Would be interested in the price you come up with....still haven't heard from Lasered for a price and am getting held up on them now.

Neil,
yes my discs went dished so I knocked up a pair from 1.2mm mild steel. Quite labour intensive as I had to chain drill the inside holes and wore out a couple of flap wheels getting them finished. The results are very good and the new discs (thicker to faciltate the use of my bicycle hydraulic brakes) have shown no tendancy to warp even after a bit of brutal braking (on purpose) . My attempts to get the shortest landing run posible resulted in locked up wheels and a paced run of 74 yds! (on grass)
All the best.
Pat

David,
If the brake discs i dropped round to you sometime back are not suitable for you, please return them to me.
I will be needing them in the coming months...
Please let me know the verdict, thanks.

Hi Guys,

Got a price today, £10ea. I am having 6 made as the price difference is so small it is a shame to waste the opportunity for other Nipper owners to get some.........first come first served! There are 4 up for grabs.
