FABRIC CLEANING?

Postby G-NIPR » Sun Mar 01, 2009 9:10 am

Morning,
Can anyone tell me the best way to clean and maintain polyfibre painted fabric?
I sent an email to the UK dealer but alas got no reply.
I assume its just a case of using a gentle soapy water to clean and possibly some form of top coat polish.
Somebody offered to use turtle wax on it while I was away but I felt unhappy about that.
Any ideas or suggestions?

Thanks.

Paul.

Ps: Pat, I'm home for a few days now, cheque to be sent in the coming days...

Paul,
Thanks for that.Just send me what you think it is worth.
I use mild soapy water on ASXI and it seems ok.
As for wax/polish. Dont use anthing with fancy additives ie silicone. A good traditional car wax
seems to work.I use turtle wax. If you have an area that could use i lift, use the fines grade
t cut G7 I think its called ???, and apply very gently.
Dont forget that if the poly tone is old or looking a bit sad, there is a rejuvinator available.
Hope to fly to the Turweston Daffadil Fly In this Sun.
Keep smiling.
Hope the course went well? Glass cockpit qualified now ?
Fly safe.
Kind regards,
Pat ASXI
