Has anyone experience of fitting a CD150 Stromberg to an 1834 VW as a replacement for the original Zenith type32 KL P10 or of rejetting the original to recognise the increase in capacity ? Jantar

No experience of the CD150 but don't try rejetting the Zenith, I did and it didn't perform very well. Keep it for someone who might rebuild a 1500cc or just chuck it in the bin.

My thanks to you both. I suppose the question really is whether the original Zenith is adequate for the 1834 ? I am having my suspicions about it. If either of you have found it wanting then I shall go the Stromberg route, with all its own questions about jet& needle size and the nature of the adapter to manifold, cowling clearance et.all.
The photo was most comforting and side views would be terrific. Hoping to hear from you both. This forum really helps! TomH
