Goodwood Revival 2010

Hi Everyone

I know Christmas isn't here yet but after watching Goodwood Revival 2009 on the goggle box it got me to thinking 'it would be great for a gaggle of Nippers to fly into in 2010'. I don't know if they allow visiting aircraft during the event so I have emailed and asked the question.
So, how many interested if I get a positive response?

Cheers

Stuart

Hi everyone,

Good news and bad news. I've heard from Goodwood and they think it would be great to have Tipsy Nippers at the revival meet................one problem........£50-00 landing fee Shocked and that doesn't include entrance into the event, Sad phew!

Here's an extract from the email "What a great way to attend our unique event. We begin your experience when you join the ATZ and are guided in by our team of FISO’s. Our ‘follow me’ vehicle will guide you to your designated parking area, our ‘period’ vehicles will collect you and your guests from your aircraft, and drop you via our check-in area. Once booked in, you can walk straight into the event".

Oh well, was worth an email................any other plans/fly ins Confused ??

Happy Landings

Stuart

Hi Stuart,

Thanks for doing the "leg work", is it worth negotiating with them to include the entrance fee......."we" could be advertised as part of the event!

With my lengthy trip last year collecting my Nipper becoming a fading memory I'm now getting the urge to stretch its legs again and I'd be bloomin tempted by Goodwood as I've always wanted to go.

A sitable bit of memory foam for my derrier and a couple of en route stops and this could could be a very suitable adventure.

I'll have a bit of a think about the logistics and see if I can make this work....

Hi Des

That would be one heck of a flight Shocked would be great to see you.
If it all goes ahead you would be welcome to drop into Crowland (8NM NNE Peterborough) for a stretch of the legs etc and some fuel.

Niel

I've asked the question, lets see what happens.

Hi Des,
Accomodation and maintenance/parking available at Colchester should you decide to come, and I am sure that offer will be echoed by others in the Nipper group.
Hi Stuart,
Look forward to hearing more....can we "sell it" to Goodwood on the basis of a "mass" arrival?!

Hi Des

Edds field for fuel and hangarage, stop at my place for B&B and if all well we can formate down south.
We might even pick up some nippers on the way.

Might just take you up on that thanks John!

Remembering the charity trip you did I'm wondering if I might be able to combine this with something similar having just lost a good friend to cancer a few days ago along with my wifes Mother 2 years ago and my own brother a few years before that. I reckon John O'Groats to Lands end in 1 day in a Nipper might be a gruelling enough challenge and worthy of some donations to cancer research.

Early days yet but Ill see what ideas I can come up with, dont suppose anyone else would be daft enough to join me for a worthy cause?

Hi Chaps

Just to keep everyone posted Laughing I've not had a response back from Goodwood following Neils' suggestion so it could be an expensive do........£50.00 landing fee! and then £50.00 entrance fee for the day Shocked

but I will try again
