Hello All,
I am pleased to say that G-NIPR is very nearly done at long last.
The Leburg system is fitted and sparking well, and all that remains is to reunite the wing
with the fuselage and do the last of the smaller jobs.
I owe a great deal of gratitude to several people, the most recent being Robin Willgoss for getting stuck into
the Leburg mod. I hope the PFA are prompt with the paperwork and she will be test flown soon.
I will report back once she has flown.
Best wishes to all members whether you are building/rebuilding or flying. Particularly Pat and Neil, good luck guys.
Paul.

Re: G-NIPR nearly done!
Paul,
Glad to hear it all going so well. Cant wait to see pix and get a flight report. Well done, and thanks for the kind words.
ASXI is progressing well. I have purchased a zero timmed engine with just 62 hours on it that is installed but not yet run. the fuselage has been recovered as has the wing, with just the taping and painting to do.
After I stripped the old fabric off the internals were in such good condition that I dint need to do anything at all in the way of repair or touch up : that speeded things up a great deal.
Hope to have her ready to rock and roll buy Jan /Feb (ish)
New colour scheme will be similar to the old one but in light cream and light burgandy.
Will keep all posted as to progress
All the best
Pat G-ASXI

Re: G-NIPR nearly done!
Paul,
This is really great news. Best of luck and let us know how you get on.
Kind regards, Pat denotes minor problem...Need new u/.c rubbers...two broken.
I think Alan has them in stock. Fingers crossed.
Keep us posteed
Post "post" thoughts.. I think the "surging "that you experienced when you flew ASXI at North Weald was the beginnings of my engine problem. So that said, the half an hour that you flew would have put me somewhere over Reading. That would not have given me many options for a forced landing!!! My point is I am eternally grateful to you for having that flight. Do you get my drift?
Good luck with the test flight.
Pat

Good luck with the test flying Paul, just remember, if you need to pick an outfield landing area, if you can see it over the nose you probably wont glide to it! (Nipper glide ratio=oven ready turkey) It really is an exciting time
Progress on mine has been slowed due to insurance and holidays, now a trapped nerve in my back has laid me up=Fxxx . I had practically a month of standby, so was really looking forward to cracking on with it. I have posted a message in Tech' about the GPAS engine......will report more later. My intention is to rebuild my old engine with recon' crankshaft (also from GPAS) and get it flying again, then install the 2180cc engine. That way I know I have a good spare engine, which I may sell if the 2180cc is as good as I hope.
I sent Andy Draper a pointed letter today, so would like to think that the Aux fuel tank may progress soon.
All the best and keep it safe
