Hi to all
In response to my tele con with Andy Draper [PFA-LAA]
Good News for all Nipper 3 owners.
The PFA will increase the max aerobatic weight for these mks from 299kgs to 311kgs. All that is required to pursue the weight increase is a application in writing stating such and enclosing your current Operating Limitations sheet for ammendment.
"Happy Aero's" with more fuel and more grins.

Re: Nipper Aerobatic Weight Increase
John,
I can now update my MKIII owners handbook accordingly which has been my 'bible' for the last 40 years!
Interesting to note the authorised increase applies only to the Slingsby built MKIII and then only by application for each individual aircraft to the PFA.
My other Nipper, being a MKII will continue to be operated within the original Fairey limitations of 660lbs.

Re: Nipper Aerobatic Weight Increase
David,
Interesting one that. ASXI is fairey built but incorporates the new aerobatic weight limitation, ie 311 kg and has done since 1990.

G-CCFE is also Fairey built and has the increased aero limit too. No idea when she aquired it.
