After some 4 years of lay up, G-BYLO is flying again. Fitted with an ACRO 1834 injected engine with inverted oil system it can happily fly up side down for as long as I can bear it! Carbon fibre engine cowlings and a new spinner were fitted at the same time- I'll post some pictures later. Performance is exciting with a microlight like take off run, to a steady climb at 1000ft/min. Max level speed of 120mph, she can loop from cruise without loosing height or diving and fly very slow rolls. Stall turns are also easier as I'm not waiting for the engine to stop! All in all, I'm delighted and can see why Barry Smith was so enchanted with the conbination. Thank you Barry- just a shame there aren't more Acro aerobatic engines about.
Re: G_BYLO

G-NIPR.
Ps: When you have finished your prop experiment could I have first bids on the Chris Lodge please?
I am looking to get another prop and this is a serious enquiry. Thanks v much!

Re: G_BYLO
A correction to my previous post- the current prop is a Lodge CJL 129 56 x 36. The others are Saxon 56 x 36 and 65 x 34. They are all loaned for evaluation and aren't for sale. I understand the Prince P tip worked well on the ACRO advanced- and hence my desire to pursue this.

Re: G_BYLO
Its the standard ACRO aerobatic- see photos. Hand swung, no electrics, bendix dual mag. Its light, strong and reliable for aerobatics, but that comes at the cost of ancillaries and convenience!
