Does anyone know if a spinner is available for a Chris Lodge prop /VW engine?
Thanks Richard

Re: Spinner
Hi Richard,
Due to the lack of clearance between the back of the prop' and the cowlings (VW engine) you will not be able to use a pressed rear back plate. I had to make a back plate from flat alloy, fabricate the brackets and used a Great Plains spinner cut to suit. An awful lot of work, but it looks right for the aircraft.(I think!) Due to the high rate of rotation of our engines you must fit a forward plate to the front of the prop' to locate the spinner. Aircraft spruce have many different designs available, but bear in mind the above comment.
Good luck and all the best wishes.
Neil

Re: Spinner
Richard,
see my reply March 9th 2008 showing spinner and plates as fitted MKIII. Neil is correct in saying you will need a steady plate in front of the prop in addition to the mounting plate as shown in the photo whichever spinner you decide upon.
