forgotten parts

Postby aerohar » Mon Nov 13, 2006 7:29 pm

Hallo all, is there anyone who will have a look in the old shed and see if he can find for me:

old fashion 4,95 x 3,5 inch tires. the type is out for a long time, and i need three new ones. Or two, or one, or
not a new one but a usable one. etc. otherwise i have to replace the u/g with a whole new set.

I found a used 4,95 x 3,5 tire, but more heavier. It gives no ply information, but I guess this must be 8 or 10.
The Nipper size weights 5 lbs plus, this one 6 lbs. would that be an objections??

If this fails, could you have a look for the old Nipper style wheelrims, but in the 4.00 x 4 size.
The 4,95 x 3,5 can't be turned into 4.00 x 4 as the outher wall would be to small. On the original drawing we
can see that there were two types. as 4.00 x 4 tires are available, it would mean I can keep the u/g original.

I found one of the brake disks to be damaged beyond repair. Anyone having a spare in the corner??? I would love
to get one.

My intentions is to rebuilt Nipper #36 as original as possible. Thats why!

Thanks for your time, Harry van der Meer.

Hi Harry,

I have used a tyre from ST Aviation: http://www.jabiru.co.uk/ which fits my rims correctly.

Harry,
I have one original anti shimmy conductive nosewheel tyre, used but perfectly servicable
marked 4.00 x4.00. It is a Dunlop item.
Cheers,
Pat
